Road trip!!
Do you ever just get the urge to jump in your motor and just drive?
Last night I had an overwhelming urge to go to Portrush (a coastal town some 60-70 miles from me home). So I jumped into the Xsara and hit the road!!
1 hr 10 mins later I was sitting at the harbour getting wind swept. Stayed there for 10 mins and then headed home ......
Felt a lot better afterwards :)

I sometimes get the urge to ram the car in front off the road and beat them to death with my tyre lever just for driving to slow(especially when I'm running late for work). But I don't do it as it would make my overall journey time longer and I can't afford getting my car repaired everytime I get annoyed. Plus turning up to work covered in blood never seems to go down well (they don't believe "my girlfriend had a violent period just before I dropped her off at work").
Have driven to Great Yarmouth just to sit on the beach (breifly before getting back in the car as it was so sodding windy) with a girl and just sit by the sea all night talking.
Dude!!! Next time you get the urge give me a call. Is this the reason why you didn't answer the phone when I was trying to phone you last night?
Actually this reminds me of a guy I used to work with that would drive with his mates down to Dublin for a pint and come back again. Doesn't take anywhere near aslong now with the new toll road. Coming back from Metallica last year, from the RDS in Dublin to my doorstep. 90 minutes.

We could have had a pint in the Harbour Bar and returned :)
I've had that urge a couple of times.... less now that I have a wife and kid!
If I get a sports car I will be doing it more often :-).
