Paperboy

In the game Paperboy of years ago, you had to deliver papers on you bike, avoid all the obstacles and not hit any cars. My mum was coming home from work the other day. My road is a cul-de-sac but it also has an adjoining small stretch of road heading up a hill. My mum had just reached this, seen a flash of white out of the corner of her eye closely followed by a big crash. A paperboy.

The idiot was flying down this hill on his bike and was planning to just ride on out into the road without stopping. How do I know he wasn't going to stop? There wasn't any brakes on the bike. At all!!! Nothing. He hit the passenger side of the car. Totally smashed the wing mirror. First door is scratched, rear door has a big dent in it (not sure how as this isn't where he hit the car first), rubber and scrapes all up the side and to top it off, the radio aerial was nearly bent right off. Quote for repairs: £800 - £1100

Oh, paperboy is alright. Finger a bit wrecked but not broken.

HL 2 More Preloads and CS Source out next week

Just like the title says :)

Steam is going nuts at the minute preloading HL2 and CS Source.

It's looking like next week you can pre-purchase HL2 through Steam and if you do you get immediate access to Counterstrike Source. Also interesting to note that CS Source is the multiplayer side of HL2 .. so no DM etc just based on HL2.

Road trip!!

Do you ever just get the urge to jump in your motor and just drive?

Last night I had an overwhelming urge to go to Portrush (a coastal town some 60-70 miles from me home). So I jumped into the Xsara and hit the road!!

1 hr 10 mins later I was sitting at the harbour getting wind swept. Stayed there for 10 mins and then headed home ......

Felt a lot better afterwards :)

New Games on the Horizon

Although I have no PC time at the minute I'm gonna buy a PC game this weekend.

Star Wars Battlefront ---- Kinda Battlefield Vietnam for the Star Wars enviro :)

Match that up with the XBOX version of Tiger Woods 2005 and my 2hrs free time a week is gonna be well taken up!!

( in hell atm) ... looking forward to tiger woods 2005.... and have yat to play Burnout 3 that my kind bro and his wife bought me for helping construct their beautiful new kitchen....

Tiger Woods 2005

Well does anyone have a definative answer to whether TW2005 is going to be Live enabled in Europe?

Not that the announced Live Package is that great (only two players at a time!) but still a bit of online play of Tiger would be great. Not that the lack of internet play is gonna stop me getting it. I loved TW2004 so gonna get it regardless .... going for the old trade in 4 duff games for one new games offer in Game if its still on at that time.

Games to be traded in : PGR2 (Played it about twice, completely duff at it,never played it again)
Halo (Never even opened it out of the box)
ESPN NFL2K4 (Attempted to play it 3 times .. WAY TOO COMPLICATED)
TIGER WOODS 2004 (Why do I need it now I have TW2005??)
